Dream It

Dream it

Dream it because it is free
Dream it because it costs you nothing
Dream it because it is effortless
Dream it because you can

Dream it so it is imaginable
Dream it so it exists
Dream it so you have it in your mind
Dream it so you know it is possible

Dream it so you can reach it
Dream it so you can achieve it
Dream it so you can say "this was my dream" when it finally comes true

My High School Achievement (Chick-Flick Recommendations)

Aloha again! Been a while since my last post. I've been meaning to post this before I finish high school, but I got lazy (not got busy, no), so yeah. And yes, I graduated! And so I'm going to post something about what I have achieved in my three years of high school. It's going to be a long list. And, no, I did not mis-title this post. Yep. That's my achievement. Chick-flicks. I have watched too much chick flicks throughout high school. So yeah actually, I achieved nothing in high school. I didn't take any course or activity out of school, or in school. So I have plenty of spare time after school. Therefore, I watch movies. And yes, cheesy romantic ones most of times. But instead of claiming that I have wasted my high school time (and to make my life less sad), I decide to call it an achievement. And to make it less wasted (what), I'm going to share my knowledge of chick-flicks by making this recommendation list of chick-flicks with various categories. And these are in a particular order, from my most fave in each category.
Enjoy!

1) Girl Power
Classic chick flicks, the starter packs!

-Legally Blonde
Boom! The ultimate chick flick, hashtag girl power. Super inspiring!

-Clueless
Too fab! As if!

-Wild Child
Nobody does it better than Emma Roberts! And ice please, Alex Pettyfer is here to make us sweat!

-Mean Girls
The classic.

-John Tucker Must Die
We all have this John Tucker in our lives, the guy who thinks he can get any girl. We'll see.

-The Devil Wears Prada
Who doesn't love transformation from geek to chic?

2) Unyaw
In love? Or long to be in love? Here's some overloaded cuteness!

-Flipped
Too cute! Too true! We all have that pre-teenage crush and this movie describes how it's never one-sided!

-Life as We Know It
Love+hate = 100% cuteness

-Two Night Stand
It's a really simple movie, but it gives good feelings. Something about the casts and their characters.

-Just Like Heaven
Young Mark Ruffalo! Hell yes!

-Definitely, Maybe
It's sweet but mostly, fun! Keepin' you guessing till the very end.

-Set It Up
The best partner you can have is your partner-in-crime.

-Stuck In Love
Well it's quite a lot going on in here but will make you taste both bitterness and sweetness of love

-When Harry Met Sally
Technically a vintage, but this one's timeless.

3) Hot Guys
You're welcome.

-Mr. and Mrs. Smith (Brad Pitt)
It's action, romance, comedy, Jolie, and Pitt. Can it get better?

-Chasing Liberty (Matthew Goode)
The ultimate cinlok movie.

-The Last Song (Liam Hemsworth)
Where Liam and Miley fell in love. How can we resist those abs, right, Miley?

-What's Your Number (Chris Evans)
The one's you've been looking for is always been right under your nose.

-Leap Year (Matthew Goode)
Pretty similar with Chasing Liberty. Matthew's only getting hotter.

-High School Musical 1-3 (Zac Efron)
Well I doubt any of you haven't watched these. We don't Wanna miss Zac's puberty.

4) Mbrebes Mili
Going through a break up? Feeling lonely? Crashed dreams? Or just want to cry for no reason? Gotcha!

-Perahu Kertas
Wow. This movie is my fave Indonesian movie. It's about dreams and love. It's quirky, it's genuine. Especially Perahu Kertas Part 2. Super inspiring.

-Begin Again
Another brilliance. It's indie, it's real. It brings so much emotion, about life and love.

-If I stay
The girl with too-charming estranged boyfriend is dying. How can we not cry?

-3 Dunia 2 Hati 1 Cinta
Cinta beda agama *Already crying*

-The Vow
The girl lost her memory and don't recognise her too-handsome faithful husband.

-One Day
But life, as always, happens.

-Midnight Sun
The one guy she's always been in love with finally says hi, just in time.

-You Are The Apple of My Eye
It's Chinese, about high school love. Seriously, tears.

-P.S I Love You
The husband died and still send her letters.

-A Walk to Remember
The badass guy fell for the geeky girl.

-Love and Other Drugs
Anne Hatheway has Alzheimer and Jake Gyllenhall is in love with her.

-50 First Dates
I cried too hard although it's funny.

5) Funny
Is under the label 'funny', but offers so much more than that.

-Friends with Benefits
Oh, yes!

-This Means War
Two FBI hotties chasing the same girl. If only we can handle too much fun!

-ATM Error
You can't ever get enough of this Thai movie!

-Kapan Kawin?
It's Reza Rahadian x Adinia Wirasti in a rom-com! I mean, c'mon!

-When In Rome
It's too funny and Josh Duhamel is too hot.

-White Chicks
These white chick aren't chicks!

6) Lonely Hearts
Just for y'all who's been alone for too long.

-The Duff
You know the one that people approach but not really the main target? Is that you?

-Bridesmaids
The woman is just so sad. Like you?

-27 Dresses
When you are always there making people happy but are you happy?

-Pretty Woman
You give everything but your heart. Like a prostitute. In this movie, Julia Roberts is an actual prostitute. Are you, too, a prostitute?

7) All in One
The most worth-while to watch. Will fill the empty hearts with all kinds of feeling. It's cute, sad, funny, encouraging, and hot guy is in it.

-Love, Rosie
This is like seriously, the bomb. Like, the casts, the story, and everything, is spot on. One hell of a movie to watch.

-10 Things I Hate About You
Another bombshell. It's a cool, Shakespeare-y kind of chick-flick. It has the general amount of cheese  just like in most chick-flicks, but yet, not cheesy at all!

-The Proposal
Why is the girl on her knee? Because this movie's so good she can't stand on her feet. (what) (please do watch)

-Ada Apa Dengan Cinta
It's a sin to not watch this movie!

-Crazy Little Thing Called Love
This girl is ugly af and has a crush on this hot guy who's totally out of her league and yet he checks her out anyway, will totally gives us all the hope that we need.

-He's Just Not That Into You
I think one of the best of those movies with a collection of linked stories. Every stories are memorable and in the perfect amount.

I'm running out of nice things to say these movies are just too great. Just. Watch. Them.
Hope this will help you guys in your unproductive days :)

The Clean-Up

Yet, the only thing we should seek in one.
.
.
.
The fact that you burn your cake, sucks. The fact that you have to wash your burnt tray, double sucks.

The fact of not succeeding, sucks. The fact that you have to clean up the mess you made after not succeeding, double sucks.

If you think suck is all there is in a failure, it might be true.
Because what we should be looking for in a failure, is in the clean-up.

The clean-up.

You may curse the recipe while washing the burnt tray.
You may blame the oven while washing the burnt tray.
You may find the over-caramelised batter that's burnt on the burnt baking tray.
You may realize you put too much sugar.
You may reduce the sugar amount next time.

The clean-up.

You may grump.
You may blame.
You may think.
You may evaluate.
You may learn.

The mess.

Is dirty, as well as it is juicy.

Today's Lesson

Hello, there.

It's been a while since the last time I posted in this blog. I just finish my final test. I think I did pretty well. You know, I feel good about it, because I had prepared for it (knowing I have to catch up bcs I didn't do very well on mid test). But when the result came out............... well, well. Not quiet as I expected. Or should I say, it was bad. My scores are not below standard but are below my standard. Especially I felt confident about it. Hmmmm.

Well, this semester, I admit, is a little bit messy. There's many things going on and some of them are unexpected. In spite of those, I did already realize that I had to catch up on my scores, and did put efforts to it, and failed, Almost on every subject. "Why does this happen?", thus, I ask myself.

I think it is pretty strange if I already put my best effort and still fail. Then I remember the almighty Allah SWT. Of course. Allah has cursed me. Not curse, maybe just, a friendly reminder that I have forgotten him, at times, Astaghfirullah. This is why. Maybe it's because I've been ignoring praying times, sometimes. That's what I figured.

Just tonight, I told my parents about my bad grades. They've never complained about my grades, unlike some other parents maybe. But tonight, they do HAHAHAHAHA. Just realize that my parents never complain about it because I never really get bad grades on entire subject. It is officially proved that all parents are the same when it comes to school grades. :)) They literally said "Nanti gak dapet undangan, lho" while I never really know if they expect me to get one. Now that I might just not get undangan because of the bad grades, they suddenly bring it up. Well, well................

Not really the point tho. I meant to write positive post so I'm gonna stop the negativity. So, beside that, my dad also give me evaluations. He said that I might have been off my head lately. I lost my focus and very lacking of time-management. He said my morning routine is a mess, and effects my whole day. OMG that's is, dad! God has cursed me because I'm ignoring praying time because I have bad time-management! Thanks for pointing it out for me!

Anyway, the whole point of the long uninteresting story above is how important evaluation is. Self evaluation, and other people's response are important to make progress. Now that I know I have time-management issue, I will manage my time better. But I would not know what should I fix if I don't evaluate myself and get evaluation from other, would I?

I think the teacher in my school should learn about the value of evaluation, too. After a really bad test, we don't get to know what we did wrong, We are left mistaken forever. Or even if we are curious about what we did wrong, some of them are not in the mood for discussion. NOT IN THE MOOD. Omg. When will we ever learn from our mistakes, dear teachers. Just because all of the studying ended by the test, doesn't mean the learning process is over. Evaluation is part of learning.

That's it. That's enough complaints for today. And that's the lesson for today: Evaluation. Yippie!
